In vitro cell-based studies have shown that PHYTO-P™ polyphenol ("PP polyphenol") possesses multiple potential biological activities, including antiviral, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, and antioxidant effects.

 

Research indicates that PP polyphenol can inhibit several key enzymes of the novel coronavirus, reduce cytopathic effects, and exhibit cytoprotective effects against influenza viruses and respiratory syncytial virus. In cancer cell experiments, PP polyphenols demonstrated concentration-dependent cytotoxicity against various cancer cells, with minimal impact on normal cells. Additionally, PP polyphenol displayed anti-inflammatory potential by inhibiting the production of inflammatory factors and antioxidant capabilities through free radical scavenging and reduction of oxidative stress.

In the control group, an average weight gain of 36.5% was observed after 4 weeks of a high-fat diet, whereas the experimental group consuming PHYTO-P™ polyphenol only experienced an average weight gain of 13.0%, demonstrating its notable effects on weight regulation. Furthermore, liver histopathological analysis confirmed that the experimental group had significantly reduced liver fat accumulation, with normal nuclear alignment and intact structural integrity, in stark contrast to the fatty liver disease characteristics observed in the control group.
